Young Wildcats “Invent the Future” at the Fourth Annual STEAM Fest
On Saturday, December 13, Rye Country Day hosted its fourth annual Lower School Steam Fest in the Cohen Center for Creative Arts.
Guided by this year’s theme of Inventing the Future, Lower School students participated in interactive learning activities facilitated by the Parents Association, STEAM faculty, and Upper School student volunteers. Stations ranged from slime-making and x-ray art to creating an earthquake-resistant building, coding trains, and even making a water filter!
It was a valuable day full of collaboration and creativity in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. Special thanks to the Parents Association, faculty, and Upper School student volunteers!
