Join parents and faculty to support the Parents Association's fall fundraiser!

Come support the school and get ahead on your holiday shopping. This event will feature many returning favorites as well as some exciting new vendors for your children, yourself, hostesses and everyone else on your list! Come browse your favorite authors, check out vendor boutiques, and volunteer with other parents.

Remember: 20% of vendor sales and 25% of book sales go to support the RCDS Parents Associations’ programs and events, including scholarships, faculty professional development grants, and equipment grants, among others.

Support Public Purpose

Please donate your slightly used children's and young adult books to our Fall Book Drive (please no text books). Donations will be accepted during book fair hours in the lobby of the Athletic Center Lobby. Please bring your books in a recyclable bag.

Wednesday, November 7, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
We hope you will join us in the PAC Foyer for a special adults-only event to kick off the book fair. This intimate evening features a carefully curated group of artisan wines, spirits, vendors, and authors. Spend a few hours sampling new wines, spirits and exquisite chocolates, shopping for unique goods, meeting two noteworthy authors, and browsing a selection of books.

Artisanal confection and gift expert and former RCDS parent, Lina Ariss-Abdo, combines exquisite confections from around the world with unique gift and favor designs. Everything at Les Cinq Amandes is handmade by master artisans that share a love of craftmanship and quality. In addition to admiring her gorgeous gifts, sample her delicious chocolates at a nut-free tasting bar.


Author Book Signings

Come meet RCDS Alumna Julia Turshen and get a signed copy of her newest cookbook, Now & Again: Go-To Recipes, Inspired Menus + Endless Ideas for Reinventing Leftovers. In addition to authoring another cookbook, Small Victories, Julia coauthored It’s All Good with Gwyneth Paltrow.


Peter Hellman is the author of In Vino Duplicitas: The Rise and Fall of a Wine Forger Extraordinaire, which was awarded the New York Times Best Wine Book of 2017. Peter Hellman is a New York-based journalist whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York magazine, and many others.

Australian-born, fine jewelry designer Katherine Jetter, specializes in Australian opal and is affectionately known as the ‘Opal Queen’. She is well known for her impeccable eye for color, fresh designs in timeless settings, and is an expert on investment grade precious gemstones. Katherine was named couture designer of the year in her debut year. Katherine will also bring pieces from other jewelry designers from her couture jewelry store, The Vault, in Nantucket.

Alicia Adams Alpaca is a family business featuring impeccable home décor and clothing from one of the rarest and most luxurious materials – alpaca wool. Alicia Adams Alpaca raises and manages a herd of over 200 Suri alpacas at a beautiful farm in New York’s Hudson Valley. All products are manufactured in Peru utilizing the incredible handiwork of local artisans who continue the pre-Incan tradition of working alpaca fibers.

Rye-based retailer, Nest Inspired Home, sources classic contemporary home furnishings, art, gifts and décor. They will bring a selection of their great design finds, including college pillows, home accessories, gifts and more!
